3 ago in un (или nel) pagliaio (или fienile)

С таким же успехом можно было искать иголку в стоге сена, но у него не оставалось другого выхода.«Che noia! mettersi alla ricerca di un cadavere con questo caldo, con tutte le migliaia di cadaveri che ci sono in giro per la Moldavia! E come voler cercare un ago in un fienile». (C. Malaparte, «Kaputt»)

(G. Marotta, «Altri racconti milanesi»)

Journey viene di solito usato per viaggi piuttosto lunghi: How was your journey?, com'è andato il viaggio?; It was a long and difficult journey through the mountains, è stato un viaggio lungo e difficile attraverso le montagne. Sia journey che trip vengono spesso usati con la preposizione on: We went on a trip to Salisbury, siamo andati in gita a Salisbury.
